May President’s Note

“…nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” (Luke 17:21)

Influencing Workplace Culture

During a recent WorkLight Remote Small Group meeting, Will DeSanto shared an inspiring story about how God used him to bring a man to Christ. At the end of a busy day, a colleague came to Will’s office to talk about Jesus, and the conversation led to praying for the Holy Spirit in a nearby conference room. Hallelujah!

Let us be encouraged by stories like this. But even more so, let us be equipped to be used by Jesus to influence culture in all ways that transform the workplace into God’s Kingdom. Especially in ways that might seem small or unnoticeable, because those may be just the seeds that were meant to be planted.

Growth in the early church, as well as Christianity’s cultural impact on the world, is often described as a patient fermentation. Why not a wildfire? Perhaps this is one of the many ways that God reminds us to live in the abiding fruit of the spirit, with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Between our Spark emails and this newsletter, we are working 24/7 to spread the fire of the Holy Spirit. But in our burning desire to serve Jesus let us remain humble and diligent to our call to serve.

We hope you’ll consider inviting the Holy Spirit into your life this month with a Monday morning prayer call, a Chapter meeting, or perhaps a Small Group. By burning brightly together, the light of Jesus can shine even further into the lives of our colleagues and families.

Let us praise God the Father when we see miracles, and let us all the more praise Jesus for the ways he shapes the workplace that are beyond our understanding. Glory! With you in Christ,

Wes
