Living out the fruit of the Spirit is evidence that we are truly free in Jesus Christ, who set us free from the slavery of sin and invited us into union with the Holy Spirit. This union allows us to turn from the acts of the flesh and experience the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
